Well I don't know If Im going to need any characters... my first issue has a little bit of Sergent Rock and Easy Company... and the story takes place in metropolis for a while but I'm really going out of my way to make a bunch of original characters and take an old title in a whole new direction... so yea, Atomic Knights is what I'm working on and it's real different than it was before.

Are you going to use any established DC characters? Or redo any of the characters associated with the title?

Now that I think about it, I am going to use Sgt. Gardner Grayle (the guy who lead the Atomic Knights pre-crisis) and the Black Baron as my lead villain... neither was important to my primary establishing issue so I wasn't thinking.... I may in passing mention scientist characters and if I can work them in, other members of the atomic knights but as for them I'm not sure. the other knights were twins Wayne and Hollis Hobard, Bryndon Smith, the last scientist left on Earth, and brother and sister Douglas and Marene Herald. so I doubt there's the risk of overlap.

Supporting Cast: Maxwell Lord, Titans East (Bushido, Duela, Susano-O, Kitsune and Mayari)*, Hikari no Senshi**
*Titans East are a spinoff group of Asian heroes formed a little after the Titans. Susano-O is based on Thunder and Lightning, Kitsune is based on Beast Boy and Mirage and Mayari is based on Prysm.
**Hikari no Senshi is, essentially, a teenage version of the female Dr. Light. Actually, she's Kimiyo's (who doesn't have powers of any sort) daughter.

When you say "based on", do you mean they are supposed to be those characters, just altered? Would it be okay for someone to use Beast Boy as Beast Boy?

Basically, yeah, I suppose. If somebody wanted to use Beast Boy proper, that's fine. "Based on" is more kind of the general, vague idea of the character (so a jokester shapeshifter, in Beast Boy's case). The only one that doesn't really apply to is Hikari no Senshi since she basically IS supposed to be Ultimate Dr. Light.
If that's all fine, of course. I'd hate to kind of impede anybody.

Hey, so I have to admit I'm getting intrigued. Despite how busy I've been lately, I'm thinking of writing something. Since you mentioned before that you want people to try different things than they have before, Nightwing and Captain Marvel are out. Despite how much I liked Shazam and didn't get very far. Yeah, I can take care of that for you. And about your question, I'm willing to give you Parallax and Ion automatically since they are tied so directly to the Green Lantern mythos, and are really just different versions of characters you already have claimed. Sorry for missing that.
